statement redraft

 I have chosen the song "moon river" by frank ocean for my music video. Moon river was released in 2018 and follows the theme of a dreamlike experience. My music video will follow the storyline of how people in society are selfish and only care about themselves as well as only wanting to chase there own life and their expected endings yet are oblivious and do not think about others and would not even make efforts in order to help or aid others even if they were being  bullied which promotes the lifestyle of reformers .If my music video successfully represents the ideas I intend to demonstrate, it may encourage viewers to make attempts to help and notice other people in there community as everyone has different problems in life that are not always visible.

One key shot that I will implement into my music video is a long shot of the characters sitting down at the desk by herself whilst she is getting paper thrown at her whilst she is being bullied by a young girl(disequilibrium), I chose this character as I believe young females are not shown as much in music videos (she would also be the protagonist). I would purposely choose a long shot  in order to demonstrate the emotions and distress that the character has faced due to the bullying. Another shot I will use is  a close up of the girl sitting on the floor when she is beaten up by the girls  then I will zoom in on people walking by her and she is covering her face showing how it has affected her(recognition).I will also use a young ethnic female who becomes a hero and help report the bullying to a teacher by taking the girl to a classroom and reporting the issue. To communicate the element of community I will demonstrate real problems that people face and how we need to help everyone in our community instead of turning a blind eye, we should all look out and care for everyone not just think about ourselves. the song I chose for my music video already helps implement the idea that everyone is only concerned about themselves.

The representation of people I will use is a group of young people in school as they are all in year 11 ,high school, which could be one of the hardest years of school life and the girl who is new before arriving at school packing her bag at home. I will represent the community aspect by showing how sometimes communities do not care about each other and have no awareness of other peoples struggles. My music video will reinforce this statement as even though the girl is being bullied people are just walking by and not acknowledging her struggles which leads to the girl thinking about committing suicide but there is another teenage girl who went through the exact same struggles and helps her to get through everything by talking to a teacher(hero). My music video should reinforce the stereotype of how young people don't have awareness about there community.
