  Cut  (Straight cut, jump cut, match cut):  Shot changes from one to another – the most common cut. The director chose to use this to show us how quick the film was going and to show us the suspense of the chase scene and how quickly the character was moving   zoom: Fade:  Shot fades away and another shot appears. Fades to black often signify endings (of the day, scene or film) The director chose to use this  Zoom: focal length of lens changed to make subject appear closer or further away A zoom into a character’s face can show realisation or an emotional reaction. Tilt: Camera tilts up or down from fixed point The hero or villain can be made to look weak or powerful using a tilt (high/low angle). the use of the zoom shows us the characters emotion in depth and this character is feeling scared or nervous and wary, the zoom shows facial expressions in much more detail and it may have suspense. The fade is used to show us when the scene is about to end ...

 closeup, allows us to see the characters expressions and emotions. The effect is used to show us the emotions closely of the character who is speaking and a closeup refraction of who is speaking and how they are feeling. medium closeup, gets closer in on the character so that the face and top of shoulders is shown , it puts the audience at just the right distance from the women's face so we can see some of her body expressions and all of her facial expressions two shot, is used to show us two character's that may have the same facial expressions and reactions to one scenario or completely different reactions. closeup: we can see the emotions and expressions of the character and how the character feels. lighting; the lighting is always dull or dark for example in the first scene the lighting was dull with just one lightbulb to light up the place and in the other scenes its dark this shows us that it might be mysterious or scary  and you want to know what will happen low angle ...

 costume: the character at the start is wearing a lab coat, casual clothing. lighting: lighting is dark and gloomy with lights flickering setting: a science lab, elevator, basement , house, forest props: bike, board game actor placement/movement/expression: scared, nervous, excited lighting denotation:  the series has flickering lights, dull lighting, set a night in  the dark lighting connotation: in the introduction flickering lights create a atmosphere of mystery and suspense as well as that dark and gloomy lights show us that the series is scary and as its based at night it shows us that the series is dark. actors expressions denotation; scared, excited ,fearful ,angry ,sad, frustrated, upset, anxious , excited , happy  actors expressions connotation: the actors facial expressions shows us that when they where playing the board game there expressions were happy and excited but the tables turned very quickly as they where riding there bike in the dark when the boys...
